"Why would a baby go to the chiropractor???"

This is baby Maddie!

Maddie came into office after experiencing some birth trauma. Mom had stated she has a previously diagnosed tongue tie and upper lip tie, as well as consistent acid reflux and constipation. In office, I adjust Maddie very gently and work with Mom and Baby on exercises to do at home, to better prepare Maddie for her tongue tie release in a couple of months.

Working with a chiropractor before and after a tie release (or secondary revision) can be beneficial for both baby AND the doctor who will be doing the release. The BIGGEST and MOST IMPORTANT reason is because the doctor needs to be able to clearly see the tie/s to effectively and safely do the release. Oral work, as well as chiropractic adjustments, help decrease tension in baby's body so the "releasing doctor", whether that be an ENT or pediatric dentist, can move the tongue and lip out of the way to ensure a good release of the tethered tissues.

Since coming into office to see me, Maddie has had a dramatic increase in regular bowel movements, has had a decrease in acid reflux, as well as an overall increase in range of motion in her neck, tongue, and lips...which I LOVE!!

Call our office if this sounds like your baby, so we can get them to optimal musculoskeletal function!!
